Never checked my fragmentation and its spread like an epidemic, drive also running out of free space. The new year is gonna be a goos start to being regular with some of these tasks. I boughjt a new PC when XP first came out and everyone was saying the same thing about XP,it sucked. Windows 98 was the most popular OS at the time and now look. Everyone loves XP. Gradual slowdowns snowball into stability problems like freezes and hangs and thats when drive problems come to the fore often like diseases whose symptoms remain subdued until it gets grave.
